In today’s era of globalization, sociology is acquiring special significance not only as a theoretical science, but also as a practical tool for deep analysis of society. Therefore, it is very important that university students studying in the field of sociology have the opportunity to test theoretical knowledge directly in life processes.
For this purpose, students of the 4th year of the Department of Social Sciences of the Faculty of History of our University in the direction of «Sociology» in January-May of this year are undergoing qualification practice in the system of the Department of the National Agency of Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Within the framework of this practice, students will have the opportunity to directly communicate with various social strata of society, analyze real problems, evaluate the effectiveness of existing social services, and develop proposals for their improvement.
During the internship, students conduct monitoring work in the areas of social protection, the rights of persons with disabilities, mechanisms for supporting vulnerable groups, as well as family and demographic policy. Based on their observations and analyses, they have developed scientific and practical recommendations and are discussing them in cooperation with specialists of this organization.
This process once again proves the importance of the practical foundations of sociology. Students not only reinforce their acquired knowledge but also prove its usefulness in real life. This ensures harmony between theory and practice, contributes to the formation of students as future social analysts.
