Today, October 31, a festival of interethnic harmony and friendship on the theme «We are children of one family» was held at the Faculty of Art Studies of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Committee of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan M.Atamuratov, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan A.Ayapov, faculty members, and students. Initially, the guests viewed exhibitions of national costumes, handicrafts, and paintings created by the students. After that, the event on the topic «We are children of one family» began.
The event was opened by the Acting Rector of the University O. Duysenbayev. Speakers at the event emphasized that today, with its strong historical heritage, rich culture, and international relations, Uzbekistan is becoming one of the most important cultural and political centers not only in Central Asia but also worldwide. They noted that the concept of «New Uzbekistan» reflects not only our country’s new political system but also our people’s new understanding of friendship and culture. He also noted that under the leadership of our esteemed President, special attention is being paid to strengthening interethnic harmony, ensuring mutual understanding between peoples, and further strengthening the atmosphere of tolerance and kindness, and congratulated all participants on the holiday.
This festival once again demonstrated how freely, equally, and peacefully every ethnic group living in our country lives in the embrace of their homeland — Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the festival, an exhibition of national costumes, stage performances, and concert programs were presented to the audience. Every performance, every song, and every folk dance brought a special delight to those gathered.
