The next international meeting of the DEBSEUz (Development of Bachelor Study Programs in Renewable Energy in Uzbekistan) project, implemented under the Erasmus+ program in the direction of «Capacity Building in Higher Education,» is taking place on June 9-13 of this year at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) University in Spain.
Three representatives from Berdaq Karakalpak State University are participating in this event. Within the framework of the meeting, participants are getting acquainted with the modern laboratories and technological base of UPM University, participating in practical seminars and lectures on the use of solar energy, alternative energy sources, environmental sustainability, as well as technologies for processing photovoltaic panels and batteries.
The event is attended by representatives of leading higher educational institutions of the European Union and Uzbekistan, including Politecnico di Torino (Italy), Universidade de Évora (Portugal), UPM (Spain), as well as representatives of seven universities and ministries of Uzbekistan, professors and teachers.

• Development and accreditation of new bachelor’s degree educational programs,
• Organization of short-term courses on solar energy,
• Creation of modern laboratories and training centers in Uzbekistan,
Important issues of project management, quality control, and public awareness are being discussed.
The participation of the Karakalpak State University delegation in this event testifies to the university’s commitment to training personnel and developing international cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
