A week-long professional development course for hydrometers operating in organizations under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Karakalpakstan has begun at the «Suvchilar Maktabi» in Nukus.
The training course, which involves professors and teachers of Karakalpak State University, is significant because it is aimed at updating the professional skills and improving the knowledge of hydrometers in measuring water flow in open canals, comparing and calibrating water measuring instruments, and conducting metrological certification of hydrometric devices.
35 hydrometers from all water management organizations in the regions are participating in the advanced training courses. They will receive theoretical knowledge for 3 days, and in the remaining days, they will undergo water measurement practice in the canals and improve their qualifications.
