Today, a festive celebration was held at the Palace of Arts of Karakalpakstan in Nukus on the occasion of October 1 — Teacher and Mentor Day.
The Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amanbay Orynbaev, congratulated those gathered on their professional holiday.
It was noted that as a result of the reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of our country, significant results have been achieved in the development of the education sector. As a continuation of this noble work, the material and technical base of all educational institutions is being strengthened.
In particular, this year, based on all programs, construction and reconstruction work is being carried out in 35 schools and 36 kindergartens at the expense of 356 billion soums. This year alone, 5 dormitories for 2150 places with a total value of 145 billion soums were commissioned in higher educational institutions, and the international «Cambridge» curriculum was introduced in 3 schools. Over the past three years, 20 thousand, and this year an additional 10,750 quotas have been allocated for the enrollment of Karakalpak youth in higher education.
At today’s event, such good deeds were widely discussed.
Following this, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a group of dedicated professionals were solemnly presented with honorary titles, badges, and incentive awards.
The festive celebration continued with a concert performed by artists and cultural figures.
