The Nukus branch of the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, held the Karakalpakstan stage of the «Waste-Free Product» innovative ideas competition on October 21, 2025, at the Nukus Youth Technopark, with the participation of students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, aimed at preserving the clean environment and fostering a positive attitude towards the environment among young people.
Students who won the first stage of the competition held at the republic’s higher educational institutions participated in the Karakalpakstan Republic stage of the competition.
According to the results of the competition, Menlibaev Miyras, a 1st-year Master’s student in Economics at the Master’s Department of Karakalpak State University, won 1st place with the «Eco-bruschatka» project and was awarded a cash prize of 10,000,000 soums. Juginisova Naurizgul, a 2nd-year Master’s student in Construction Materials Technologies at the University’s Master’s Department, took 3rd place in the «Energy-Saving Materials Production Technology from Local Raw Materials» project and was awarded a cash prize of 3,000,000 soums.
