Youth ecological campaign «Train to the Aral Sea»

On May 29 of this year, more than 600 active young people selected from all regions of Uzbekistan arrived in the capital city of Nukus to participate in the youth environmental campaign «Railway to the Aral Sea.»

The team of Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh solemnly welcomed the guests at the Nukus railway station and accommodated them in the university’s student dormitories.

This important initiative is aimed at drawing attention to the problems of the Aral Sea region and forming a conscious attitude towards environmental issues among young people, participating in the preservation and restoration of the region’s natural heritage.
